CAIn 2025, Goodwill Ventura and Santa Barbara reported 1,062 total employment or work experience placements, 986 completed credentials, and 485 youth placed into jobs or work experience.

About Goodwill Ventura and Santa Barbara
Goodwill VSB serves people across Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties through mission services focused on job training, work experience, credentials, and employment support. It became its own separate corporation in 1997 after previously operating as part of Goodwill Industries of Southern California, and its local roots go back to 1961, when the first Ventura County Goodwill store opened in downtown Oxnard.
What makes Goodwill VSB especially specific is its workforce focus for people facing barriers to employment. Its mission services are built for veterans, youth, long-term unemployed individuals, justice-involved people, Department of Rehabilitation clients, and others who may need extra support getting hired or staying on track.
That support includes job training, paid work experience, credentials, career guidance, supportive services, and job placement. The goal is practical: give job seekers the tools, guidance, and opportunities they need to move forward.
