About Triad Goodwill
Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc. (EIN: 56-0861003) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving communities throughout Central North Carolina by providing career development services, workforce training, digital literacy programs, and employment opportunities for people with employment needs. The organization serves a five-county region that includes Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham counties.
Programs and services include career coaching, employability skills training, digital literacy education, reentry services, skills certification programs, workforce development initiatives, and employment support services. Specialized training opportunities include CDL, HVAC, and construction programs that help participants develop in-demand skills and prepare for sustainable careers. Through its retail operations and mission services, Triad Goodwill helps individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve greater economic independence.
How Your Car Donation Helps
Vehicle donation proceeds fund career development and workforce training programs throughout Central North Carolina. According to Triad Goodwill’s 2024–2025 Community Impact Report, the organization served 3,053 participants and provided 25,178 unique services across career coaching, classes and workshops, employment activities, support services, and assessments. During the reporting period, 340 individuals reported job placements with an average entry wage of $16.49 per hour.
Funding also sustains specialized workforce initiatives that create pathways to employment. Triad Goodwill’s Skills Training program served 153 individuals pursuing certifications and credentials in fields such as CDL, HVAC, and construction, while the Careers on the Outside program served 307 individuals with prior justice involvement and helped achieve 111 job placements.
For more than 60 years, Triad Goodwill has connected residents across Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham counties with career services, training opportunities, and employment resources that strengthen local communities and expand economic opportunity throughout the region.
