4. Arrange for the charity to pickup the vehicle.  You shouldn't have to pay for the towing in Colorado yourself - the charity should cover towing.  Remove the plates before the vehicle is picked up.  

5. Save your receipts for when you file your taxes.  (You must itemize your taxes to get the deduction.)
